Writing about Space in Poetry and Prose (all ages)

Come see author Jane Peddicord share her interest in writing about space. She begins by describing how a childhood fascination with the night sky lead her to write Night Wonders, which invites readers to catch a ride on a light beam to the far edges of space and time. Her presentation highlights several astronomy concepts illustrated in Night Wonders such as the formation of our solar system, the immense size and age of the universe, and how stars and planets bend space around them. Along the way the author gives students writing tips on how to turn their dreams into poetry and prose.
